Life is inevitably filled with many challenges and transitions and its not unusual to become overwhelmed. We can easily struggle with who we are and what we want from life. Therapy can help you understand yourself better so that you can confidently adjust to change, set boundaries, navigate relationships, implement coping strategies & give yourself grace if you stumble.
About me and my practice
I am an integrative practitioner, meaning I lean on and merge varying therapeutic modalities such psychodynamic, CBT, and systemic theories. Therapy should be tailored around your specific needs and what it is you are hoping to gain or explore. I offer open-ended therapy sessions with interval reviews on the work were doing together.
You deserve to be treated as an individual and co-construct the therapy that would be of most benefit to you. The therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to the outcome of therapy as it is the basis of trust & rapport that allows for us to engage in this process together.
Originally from the United States, I have been living and studying in the UK for the past three years. I am in the final stages of the doctor of counselling psychology degree and will soon be a qualified counselling psychologist in addition to my previous qualifications.
Experience
I have been working in the mental health field for nine years. I have worked predominately with young/working-age adults, but have also worked with young people aged 11-17. I am currently providing therapy to later life clients in the NHS and have obtained experience working with those 65+ through this role.
I have been trained in varying therapeutic modalities throughout my studies and use them in tangent in my practice.
